When I was still commuting to Clerkenwell, before our babies came along, my route took me past The Prince Albert Pub in Kings Cross which was under renovation. It was like nothing else I’d seen before, a genius piece of sculpture meeting interior design. Fine metal chains created trumpet shaped forms like spiders webs sucking up to the window frames, extraordinary. At the time I knew nothing about the Artist, but rather topically, it was created by Thomas Heatherwick, he of the Olympic Cauldron. A brilliant man.
